Had a FANTASTIC time with scargrrl last night seeing on of my all time favorite bands, The Tossers. They did an incredible rendition of "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair" with traditional Irish instrumentation.

Oh yeah, I just drove by a club who hosts "Welfare night'". wow.

So I was scrolling through ondemand on my digital cable and ran across the video for "American Jesus" by Bad Religion (one of my all time favorite bands). So I pop it on and there is an ad for the US Airforce before the video. Funny. Then throughout the video they continue scrolling advertisements for the airforce website and enrollment program. Has the head of advertising ever listened to the lyrics of that song? Or any Bad Religion song for that matter? Maybe they thought that the lyric, "We've got the American Jesus, overwhelming millions everyday." might inspire people to sign up??? A call to arms? I cannot believe that someone could hear that song and think, hey, GO AMERICA! Then again I am not sure how most people think most of the things that they do to begin with.

I had an AMAZING time in Chicago. It snowed and I was happy beyond words. Besides the fact that I missed genesha and the puppies so much it hurt, I had a very hard time boarding the plane to come back.


Upon my return though I was thrilled to find a set of photos from bitzar Woo hoo!!!! I will be posting the entire set on my site soon.


Looking forward to Montreal with darenzia among other trips scheduled for the next few months but for the moment I am happy to be home.
